• About Workshop

    Renewable Energy can play an important role with the plausible solutions to the present energy and environment crisis. Solar and Smart Energy Systems for Sustainable Environment, workshop will cover theoretical and hands- on experience on Solar Photo-voltaic, Solar Thermal, Energy Conversion and Storage devices, Smart Grid, Energy management and Audit The goal of this workshop is to impart knowledge in the field of Renewable Energy Technologies. Harnessing of Renewable Energy, Storage and Utilization extensively will focus in this workshop. Resource persons/ Experts from Academia and Industry are invited. Theoretical session will be conducted in the morning session while the practical/ demonstrations in the afternoon.

  • Any Engineering graduate, Final year B.Tech./ B.E., Masters in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, Research Scholar, Faculty, Scientist, Industry Personnel are invited to attend the workshop.

    Tentative Workshop Schedule

    Day 1 (9:00AM-5:00PM):

    The workshop will be started with inaugural session followed by expert lectures on Renewable Energy Technologies. Energy Resource Assessment, Planning and System Simulation will be covered extensively. This includes practical exposure to Solar Energy production along with real-life application such as Electrical Energy generation, Water Heating, Space Heating, Street Lighting and Community cooking.

    Day 2 (9:00AM-5:00PM):

    Second day of the workshop will commence with Smart Energy Systems. Recent development of Green Energy technologies, Hydrogen Energy & Fuel Cells, Smart Building, Energy Management and Audit, Energy Modelling and Policy analysis will be covered extensively with real time analysis. The two days workshop will be concluded with a valedictory function.
