On 21-Nov-08, Dr. JJ Rawal, an eminent astrophysicist, associated with Indian Planetary Society, addressed the students of the first year. His lecture was very inspiring and his quotes from the Bhagavad Gita were highly appropriate. His approach to size of an object, the concept of simple living, comparing a human being with a plant and stone, the concept of time and distance, were highly enlightening.
Dr. Rawal was particularly impressed with the serene and beautiful hills around Baru Sahib, the atmosphere, the focus on moral values, which made Baru Sahib a special place. He also gave his commitment to visit Baru Sahib as often as possible.
Dr. Rawal is highly committed about setting up an astrophysics lab at Baru Sahib and starting a course in Astrophysics Engineering at ACET Baru Sahib.
